The art and life of Chaz Bojòrquez

Guys I had this book in my mailbox this week, and I must say it’s fucking good… plus there were no monographies about Chaz since now.
178 pages of mostly unpublished great calligraphic works, vintage pictures, a full-size interview with Chaz and a great essay by françois chastanet.

Book signing + presentation with Chaz himself will be next friday (5 of march, 2010) at Radio Store in Milano. One not to miss.

Ultra Bold

Publication about a typographical intervention in publicspace.
Ultra Bold writes with snow-spray what is already sprayed on walls, in proper type
(Gill Sans Ultra Bold). Using the same techniqueas of the graffiti writers,
but trying to write it as readable as possible in classic typographical manners.
By albanschelbert collaboration with Christopher West.

Headlines book – in evidenza dal basso

The guys from Urban Code just produced and published this really nice book, that mixes photography, graffiti, and abandoned places.
The book documents the work of a few well-known graffiti artists of the Venice area, including Peeta, Capo, Joys, Oste, Ryts Monet and many others.
