The Next Best Thing

Wow! Aesop Rock (one of my favourite Def Jux rappers) and Jeremy Fish (one of the artist whose work I love the most, check his limited-edition nike [here](http://www.solepedia.com/Jeremy_Fish_X_Nike_Air_Classic_SB), you fashion-vandals) together for a book and an exhibition, on Fecal Face: a must see! ([see](http://www.hypebeast.com/2006/06/29/aesop-rock-x-jeremy-fish-the-next-best-thing/) some shots from the book there on [hype beast](www.hypebeast.com) ).

Upper Playground is proud to present: “The Next Best Thing”, a short story about the creative process by Aesop Rock and Jeremy Fish. This 24 page book comes with a 7 inch picture disk that coincides with each page of the book (ie: old school style kid’s books with records for those born pre 1979!). Jeremy Fish and Aesop Rock were brought together by a common infatuation with themarvel-of-modern-science known as the “one-cup coffee maker.” They soon learned that two creative types can do an extraordinary amount of complaining regarding their respective involvement in “the arts” over a properly constructed patty melt. Indeed, within minutes, optimistic almost-young gentlemen can morph into jaded, bickering, grumpy old men.

happy graffiti friends

happy graffiti friends

happy letters and colorful walls, nice characters and illustrations on this french website: [happy graffiti friends](http://www.happygraffitifriends.com/).

hellomynameis

hello my name is hacker

if there’s one thing that was missing from the internet, it was surely a comprehensive website about Rome graffiti (one of the most powerful and overlooked graffiti scenes in the world, with a strong nyc-like style). At least, till yesterday: [http://www.hellomynameis.it/](http://www.hellomynameis.it/) is a new website with lots of throwups and bombings from the Italian capital, with features from some cool writers.
even if I really hate websites with a flash frontend, I reccomend you to check hallomynameis. It really deserves it.

Sleeping Giants

Sleeping Giants is a huge graffiti event that happened in Brighton, UK, some days ago. I found some pieces that I really love on this Flickr Group.
And the “making of” is [here](http://groups.msn.com/writersdelight/sleepinggiantsjam1.msnw).
