The new d*face’s space, the Outside Institute, seems to be really busy!
They started a few months ago with the amazing S-E-E-N show (you can see many flicks here) and they’re opening this weekend a new cool exhibition, “A few of our favourite fiends”, featuring – could you imagine it? – some of their favourite friends.
Check out their website (outsideinstitute.com) and, if you’re in London from 20th May to 19th June, be sure not to miss it!
A few of our favourite fiends at the Outside Institute, London
At the Outside Institute this month, the brain child of the artist
D*Face, and following hotly on from the inaugural exhibition ‘Seen the
God father of graffiti’, the Outside Institute brings together 30 of
the UK’s most innovative painters, illustrators, animators, sculptors
and graffiti artists.
Bringing together already established artists; Banksy, Pete fowler,
Shok1, Will Barras, Mr Jago, D*Face, Matt Sewell, Insa, Part 2, who
amongst others will be showing alongside up and coming fresh blood such
as Gorb, Optic, Dist, to name but a few.
The Outside Institute divides up its gallery walls with each artist
being given free reign over a strip that runs floor to ceiling of the
gallery, enabling each artist to express themselves freely: to hang
canvases and or paint directly onto the walls, there are no
limitations.
